Accreditation
What is the accreditation process?

Montessori School at Emory follows guidelines by the Association Montessori International. Your child will be engaged in the authentic Montessori experience developed by Maria Montessori. Schools with an AMI Certificate of Recognition have undergone a rigorous review process. When you visit an AMI Montessori school, regardless of location, you will see the same standards applied. In addition, Montessori School at Emory is accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission Inc.
Why is AMI Accreditation Important?

AMI accreditation is important for several reasons:
-
The word Montessori unfortunately is not trademarked so it can sometimes be difficult to know if you are getting an authentic Montessori experience for your child. Association Montessori International accreditation assures families that the school has met the quality Montessori standards that Maria Montessori herself deemed important.

-
Quality Assurance: It ensures that a school follows the authentic Montessori principles and methods as envisioned by Maria Montessori, maintaining a high standard of education.

-
Consistency and Authenticity: AMI accreditation guarantees that the school’s curriculum, materials, and teaching methods align with Montessori philosophy, offering a consistent and authentic Montessori experience for children.

-
Teacher Training Standards: AMI accreditation ensures that teachers are trained and certified according to AMI standards, which helps maintain quality in teaching methods and practices.

-
Parent Assurance: For parents seeking a genuine Montessori education for their children, AMI accreditation provides assurance that the school adheres to recognized standards.

-
Continual Improvement: Schools seeking or maintaining AMI accreditation often undergo assessments and reviews, fostering a culture of continual improvement and development within the institution.

Overall, AMI accreditation signifies a commitment to upholding the core values and principles of Montessori education, providing confidence to both parents and educators in the quality of the educational experience offered by the institution.
